Jewellery Repair Specialist – Join Our Expert Team!
Location: Ashbourne/Water’s View, Carsington, Derbyshire
Hours: Full time

Are you a talented jewellery repairer with a passion for craftsmanship and excellence? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jewellery Repair Specialist to join our growing team at our Head office in Ashbourne. We will be soon moving to our new facility at Carsington Water — a stunning building showcasing the very best of British jewellery manufacturing.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, inspiring environment, alongside expert craftspeople dedicated to exceptional quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ring resizing and re-shanking in all precious metals.
  • Retip claws and mount/remount new or original stones.
  • Rebuild channel settings and reset stones to a high standard.
  • Solder all precious metals using gas/oxy torch and laser welding.
  • Complete general repairs and restorations, including chain and bracelet repairs.
  • Polish, clean, and rhodium plate repairs to an exceptional finish.
  • Set faceted gemstones and cabochons in a range of styles (claw, bezel, flush, channel, star, pave) on both repairs and new commissions.
  • Create bespoke pieces to customer specifications.
  • Take part in customer consultations for custom designs and alterations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised workspace and adapt to shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with store staff, designers, and administrative teams.
  • Use our repair tracking software and company emails confidently.

  • Proven experience in professional jewellery repair.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and pride in your craftsmanship.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Excellent communication and comfortable in both a workshop and customer facing environment.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
