Full job description
Main Purpose:
To meet the high standards and specification set by the company. To react with an immediate and appropriate response to all incidents and to ensure that Health, Safety and security standards are delivered and maintained.
Duties, including the Support in the day-to-day supervision of the daily operations of the building while taking pride in your job delivering excellent customer service to visitors, tenants and colleagues.
Main Duties:
- Liaise with the manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the building
- Ensure all Health & Safety checks are carried out as requested by the manager
- To carry out a regular inspection of entrances, mall interior, streets, car parks, service roads/areas and public access areas back of house
- Arrange to carry out all daily, weekly, monthly building checks in conjunction with the manager
- Adherence to strict levels of confidentiality in respect of tenants and customers.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all tenants
- To undertake other miscellaneous duties relating to general service, as requested by the manager
- Liaise with all colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the building
Cleaning:
- Ensure the cleaning standards within the building are of the highest thereby delivering a clean and safe environment for all visitors
- Assist the manager with all additional cleaning services as and when necessary
- Ensure efficient recycling and waste management is carried out
- Maintain welfare facilities in good condition
- Assist in ordering various stock of cleaning materials/equipment
- Ensure the cleaning standards within the building are of the highest standards thereby delivering a clean and safe environment for all visitors
- Cleaning car parks and manually brushing edges and gutters
- Undertake removal of small furniture items, example cupboards, filing cabinets and meeting room furniture and dispose of safely
- To ensure the landscaped areas around the center are well maintained
- Responsible for removing snow from roads, pathways, entrances and other affected areas of the premises. Care should be taken during the clearance of snow and taking care that the spreading of grit does not damage either tenants or shoppers properly, including plants and trees
Security:
- Accurately reporting all incidents, writing reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorised persons, requests for assistance or unusual occurrences
- Prevent, detect and investigate; disturbances, offences on site, signs of intrusion, ensure security of doors and gates and that no unauthorised personnel enter restricted areas therefore creating a safe and comfortable working environment for employees and visitors
- Undertaking investigations into reports of offences and incidents, escalating incidents where required to do so
- Monitoring and operating CCTV cameras including viewing and downloading recorded footage and maintaining effective multiple information feeds simultaneously, namely CCTV footage and the radio system
- Dealing appropriately and with courtesy individuals who to act in an anti-social manner, in line with SIA regulations
- Support tenants with individuals who act in an anti-social manner, in line with SIA regulations
- Responding to emergency situations as they arise, liaising with the emergency services, police, ambulance and fire service to resolve issues and maintain security and service, directing emergency vehicles and other traffic on site
- Ensure deliveries, visitors and contractors are properly recorded on site and effective control takes place on access and egress
- Log and store lost property in line with procedures
- Ensure all contractors have a valid permit to work, before commencing any works
- Testing the fire alarm systems including the setting and disengaging of the alarm panel, and the activation of the call points, dealing promptly with alarm activations.
- Make sure tenants and visitors are parking in the assigned spaces
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
- Basic competency with IT and technology
- Working knowledge of entrepreneurial, fast paced, flexible retail/office environment
- To be able to communicate with customers, colleagues and visitors fluently in English
- Observant and able to complete accurate reports
- To have a working knowledge of own Health and Safety responsibilities
- Fire Marshall duties
- First aid trained
- Experience with COSHH
- SIA valid Door Licence/SIA CCTV Licence
