Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, Varoius shift

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust provides hospital-based services from three main sites – the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre, and Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester. THIS IS A TEMPORARY ROLE

Job Duties

· Provide a portering and messenger service, including the transfer of patients and visitors between wards and departments including A&E admissions to wards and transfers between A&E, X-ray and wards.

· Collect and deliver a range of goods including, drugs, bloods, furniture, feed bottles, case notes, specimens, x-rays and medical gas cylinders.

· Responsible for the regular and sufficient removal of general, recycling and clinical waste.

· Ensure all waste streams are segregated, handled, and disposed of in line with the site requirements.

· Comply with the health and safety procedures when moving waste around the site.

· Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.

· Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role

· Must have full driving licence

· A good understanding of spoken and written English.

· Trained in Manual Handling
