Operations Support Manager

Location: Northampton - Cambridge and surrounding areas

Salary: £44,000 per annum, negotiable dependant on experience (DOE)

Role Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and super talented Operations Support Manager to join TNS Catering. Based predominantly around Northampton and Cambridge, and supporting a growing number of contract catering sites within the region, this varied role involves working across Business & Industry, Education, and Care environments.

Substantial travel expectations will realistically be part of the role. Whilst you will predominantly be working on contracts around Northampton, Cambridge, and the surrounding areas, there will be an expectation to visit sites further afield as we have business all across the UK. Working mostly Monday to Friday, you must be flexible and able to work evenings or weekends as the business requires.

Key Responsibilities:

• Line management for a group of client contracts, working closely under the guidance of your Operations Manager to deliver outstanding excellence at every opportunity.
• Developing and delivering promotional activity to support the growth of sales, manage costs, and add innovation and value to the services.
• Weekly commercial analysis of sites' financial performance, including close monitoring of site purchases, invoices, and estimates.
• Conducting audits in Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Stock.
• Training and development of site Catering Managers and site colleagues.
• Client liaison, including creating and presenting business summary reports made up of financial and operational reporting.
• Supporting, and where applicable delivering, new contract award site mobilisations and presentations.
• Supporting company HR functions, including all aspects of the employee relations process.
• Absence cover for chef managers when required.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience in multi-site management and the responsibility surrounding this within B&I, Education, and Care environments.
• Is passionate about food, with a sharp eye for detail, and won’t accept anything less than outstanding customer service.
• Always challenges the 'status quo'—looking for how we can improve and add value to deliver the best possible outcomes.
• Shows strong leadership, empathy, and consideration, whilst being able to effectively communicate at all levels.
• Is financially astute, with good computer skills, and a proven record of strong financial performance understanding.
• Having a culinary background is beneficial.
• Is passionate about colleague training and development.
• Can be flexible and versatile in order to respond to the demands of the business requirements.
