- Inspire students through engaging lessons covering topics such as physical geography, human geography, environmental issues, and global development.
- Plan and deliver high-quality learning activities that challenge and engage students of all abilities.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support both high-achieving learners and students requiring additional academic support.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help maximise attainment.
- Develop effective classroom and behaviour management strategies with the support of experienced mentors.
- Observe outstanding teachers and implement best practice within your own teaching.
- Participate in weekly professional development sessions covering pedagogy, curriculum design, assessment, safeguarding, and classroom practice.
- Gradually assume increased teaching responsibilities throughout the training year as you work towards QTS.
What's on Offer
- Full-time salaried teacher training position with no tuition fees.
- A clear pathway to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within one academic year.
- Opportunity to achieve a PGCE alongside QTS.
- Comprehensive mentoring from experienced Geography teachers and senior leaders.
- A structured, high-quality training programme designed to develop exceptional classroom practitioners.
- Access to ongoing professional development and outstanding career progression opportunities.
- The chance to begin your teaching career within a successful and supportive London secondary school.
