Full job description

What's your calling? Join our team of dedicated craft beer fanatics.

We’re always on the look out for talented people who share our passion for great beer to come and join us in Berkshire. Since opening in 2013, we were voted 2nd Best New Brewery in the World by Ratebeer.com followed by Best UK Brewer in 2014, so have been working a fast pace to keep up with demand for our beers.

With growth and expansion we are often adding to our strong team at the brewery, any vacancies will be posted here.

Regional Sales Manager - North
Remote sales role - could be based Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester etc.

We are looking for a driven, passionate and ambitious person to join our sales team, getting beer into some of our country’s best independent pubs, bars, restaurants and retailers across the north of England.

You will have direct responsibility for winning new business as well as maintaining and growing our existing business within the territory. The position will be based remotely, and could suit someone already based in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham or surrounding areas.

Siren is an independent brewery based near Reading, with an excellent reputation for making beers ranging from everyday favourites to premium, barrel aged products. We’re looking for organised, tenacious sales people who are always looking to learn and grow, while championing indie beer across the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a field-based sales role covering the North. You’ll be out in the trade, building the kind of relationships that move the needle. You'll be growing distribution of Siren beers across independent venues, working with regional wholesalers to drive performance, and making sure our brands have the presence and rate of sale they deserve.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build a regional strategy to grow distribution, volume, profit and brand experience across a range of channels
  • Develop and execute a clear plan for winning new business in your territory
  • Work with wholesale partners and key external contacts to drive our brands and open up new routes to market
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, with joint plans that align to what we're both trying to achieve
  • Support existing accounts to make sure our brands are given the best chance of success
  • Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams to keep everything aligned
  • Host staff training and events, and represent Siren well in everything you do
  • Stay ahead of your pipeline with proactively preselling and forecasting
  • Report back clearly and on time, and keep your data accurate
  • Own your targets and personal development objectives

What We’re Looking For

A big part of this role is relationships. You'll be out in the trade regularly, building trust with the people who sell our beer and making sure Siren is front of mind when a new tap goes on or a range is being reviewed. You'll need the commercial sharpness to manage a territory effectively, the energy to represent the brand well in every interaction, and the discipline to stay on top of your pipeline and structure your week effectively.

You'll be:

  • Experienced in field sales, ideally in drinks or FMCG
  • Commercially sharp, comfortable owning a target and understanding what drives performance
  • A natural relationship-builder who people genuinely enjoy working with
  • Self-motivated and well-organised, with the discipline to manage your own time and territory effectively
  • A clear communicator, confident with customers and comfortable feeding insight back into the business
  • Passionate about beer and proud to represent a brand you believe in

Key Information:

  • Salary in the region of £30-37.5k OTE
  • Full time 37.5hr position
  • Generous staff discount of 50% off Siren Craft Brew, Siren Tap Yard & George & Dragon
  • Samples of all new beer releases & free coffee in venues
  • Employee assistance programme to help you deal with what life brings: wellbeing, legal and financial advice from Hospitality Action
  • Opportunities to attend events all around the UK

How to apply:

Apply with a short cover letter (max 300 words) OR introductory video (max 2 minutes) describing your interest and suitability for the role, along with a CV.

Applications without covering notes or videos won't be considered. Recruiters: please note we are managing this role in-house only. We are committed to building a workforce that is diverse and inclusive, and we encourage applications from all sections of the community.
