What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Goalkeeper Coach to join our Sports Participation team and support the delivery of high-quality goalkeeper coaching sessions within Leeds United Foundation programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with young goalkeepers in a positive and player-centred environment, helping them develop technically, tactically, physically, psychologically, and socially while promoting a lifelong love of sport and football.
Working as part of the Foundation's coaching team, you will be responsible for creating engaging training sessions, supporting player development, maintaining high safeguarding standards, and contributing to the continued growth of the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality goalkeeper coaching sessions in line with the Leeds United Foundation coaching philosophy.
Support the welfare, development, and progression of players participating within the programme.
Implement the Leeds United Foundation coaching curriculum and games programme.
Maintain accurate programme administration, including registers, risk assessments, wellbeing reports, and safeguarding documentation.
Attend fixtures, festivals, development events, and training sessions where required.
Support talent identification and player recruitment activities.
Attend staff meetings, CPD events, and programme reviews.
Promote and uphold the values, vision, and standards of Leeds United Foundation.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, equality, diversity, and inclusion policies.
Maintain and manage equipment required for the safe delivery of coaching sessions.
Undertake any additional duties required to support the successful delivery of Foundation programmes
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
FA Level 1 Goalkeeping Qualification (or equivalent).
FA Licensed Coach status.
Valid FA First Aid Qualification.
FA Safeguarding Children Qualification.
Eligibility to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to safeguarding and player welfare.
Flexibility to work evenings as required.

Experience
Experience delivering goalkeeper coaching sessions.
Experience working with children and young people within a football environment.
Experience delivering structured coaching programmes.
Experience supporting player development and progression.
Experience maintaining coaching records and programme administration.
Desirable
FA Level 2 Goalkeeping Qualification.
FA Youth Award Modules 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
Understanding of Talent Identification principles.
Understanding of Long-Term Player Development.
Knowledge of FA Talent Pathways.
Experience supporting player reviews and reporting processes.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and online platforms to support coaching and communication.
