Seasonal Golf Starter & Clubhouse Assistant

Swinley Forest Golf Club is one of England's premier private members' golf clubs.

We are looking for a professional, reliable and personable Seasonal Golf Starter & Clubhouse Assistant to join our team. This varied role combines welcoming golf societies on the first tee with supporting the day-to-day presentation and operation of the clubhouse.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and enjoys delivering exceptional service.

Your primary responsibility will be ensuring golf societies receive a warm, professional welcome and begin their day smoothly.

Golf Starter Duties

  • Welcome members and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Start golf societies from the 1st tee at their allocated tee times.
  • Explain local rules, course etiquette and any daily notices.
  • Ensure groups tee off promptly to maintain the day's schedule.
  • Answer questions and provide excellent customer service.

Clubhouse Assistant Duties

Once the morning tee times have departed, you'll assist the clubhouse team by:

  • Maintaining the presentation of the clubhouse entrance, courtyard and surrounding areas.
  • Carrying out light maintenance and general housekeeping duties.
  • Checking and maintaining the locker rooms, ensuring they remain clean, tidy and fully stocked.
  • Assisting with general operational tasks as required.
  • Helping maintain the exceptional presentation standards expected at one of England's leading private members' golf clubs.
