Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiters and Waitresses to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to develop your skills further.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
• Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
• Assist with basic food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
• Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of the dining area throughout service
• Handle guest queries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
• Manage cash transactions accurately using the POS system
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and serving protocols
• Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
• Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is desirable
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £39,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
