We are looking for an experienced and reliable Grill Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver the quality our customers expect every time they visit.

The Role

As a Grill Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking our burgers, steaks, grilled chicken and other menu items to the correct specification and consistently high standard.

You will work closely with the kitchen team during busy services, ensuring food is prepared quickly, safely and accurately while maintaining excellent presentation and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook burgers, steaks, chicken and other grilled menu items to specification.
• Ensure all meat is cooked accurately and consistently.
• Follow Gourmet Burger Club recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place before service.
• Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.
• Maintain speed of service without compromising food quality.
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately and communicated effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Check food quality, freshness and presentation before dishes leave the kitchen.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe grill station throughout service.
• Follow all food hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the Kitchen Manager or Restaurant Manager when supplies are required.
• Minimise food wastage through correct preparation, storage and portion control.
• Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties as required.
• Support other sections of the kitchen when necessary.
• Work as part of the wider restaurant team to deliver a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Grill Chef, Line Chef or Chef in a busy restaurant kitchen.
• Is confident cooking burgers, steaks and grilled meats.
• Can work quickly and accurately during busy periods.
• Understands the importance of consistency and following recipes.
• Has good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Is reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Takes pride in food quality and presentation.
• Can remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Is flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Has a positive attitude and a genuine passion for food.
