Amigo Food Group started in 2013. Our company is now busier than ever, we hope you can help be a part of this journey.

We are looking for skilled and enthusiastic Buyer/stock controller with some food import experience to assist our office team, managing our stock levels, finding best products, importing them to the UK, making sure we get them on time and at the best price. Extending our product range will come along our customers’ requests.

As a friendly and fast pace moving company, we make sure to look after all our team and offer great opportunities to learn new skills and progress within the company,

Our office and warehouse are located in Park Royal, NW10 6HJ, 10 to 12 min from Harlesden (Bakerloo line) or North Acton (Central line) Tube stations.

On our product list we have a wide range of gourmet cured meats, cheeses, preserves, spices, oils and much more, which we supply from street food traders to hotels and Michelin star restaurants.

We have a warehouse and delivery driver’s team, who manage the logistics, using our own van fleet to deliver our goods directly to our customers.

Stock Controller, importer.

Responsibilities

· Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock.

· Enter purchase details (vendor’s information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases. Excel and Sage50.

· Track shipments and address any delays.

· Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile and short shelf life items.

· Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals.

· Confirm prices of goods received are the agreed ones.

· Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments).

· Cover customs declarations inputting to ensure that all clearance processes are completed in a compliant and timely manner.

· Attention to detail’ is very important to ensure the business is compliant and passes HMRC audits, including risk identification and mitigation.

· Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Requirements

· Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role.

· Good understanding of food supply chain procedures.

· Working knowledge of inventory management software Sage50.

· Active participation in inventory audits.

· Excellent organization skills.

· Good communication (English/Spanish) and negotiation abilities.

· Report to the line Manager and to help set-up and maintain new processes as required.

· BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.

· Customs background in either road, air or sea freight and a good knowledge of old CHIEF or new CDS.

· Ensure the company is fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC and other relevant bodies. And ensure good query resolution.

Of course, you must have and present the correct right to work documents for working in the UK to be employed.
