GPH Builders Merchants Ltd is the largest independent supplier of building materials in the North of Scotland and has established an enviable reputation for supplying excellent quality products and a professional service.

We are looking to recruit aTrade Counter Assistant to join the team in our busy Westhill branch.

Duties

• Our Trade Counter Assistants are hands-on, offer a warm welcome to customers and work closely with the Branch Manager and the Internal Sales team in day-to-day branch operations.
• You will be responsible for trade counter sales to achieve sales targets, confidently communicating product knowledge to customers
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers
• Compliance with Health and Safety, company policies and procedures
• Ensure excellence in customer service, operational standards and Branch sales targets are achieved
• Maintaining branch standards - including warehouse and stock management, front of house cleanliness and point of sale

Entry Requirements

• Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets
• A hands-on customer focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and proactively engage with potential future customers
• A commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins, whilst ensuring our customers always walk away happy
• Good organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and use own initiative
• Experience within a similar role ideally in a builders, timber or plumbing merchant setting would be advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £31,600.00 per year
