Full job description

Capital Group are a rapidly growing, diverse business specialising in 3 main sectors. Shopfitting, Logistics and Utilities. Due to business growth, we are currently recruiting for Grab Drivers and Grab Drivers mate who have experience working in the utilities sector.

The role

You will be working under the supervision of our client so excellent customer service and communication skills are a must. You will be supporting repair and maintenance and infrastructure upgrades on the main water network. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Removing waste from site.
  • Backfilling/ Reinstatement.
  • Working on numerous sites around the east Midlands area.

The Candidate:

The successful person will be able to work at a fast pace while ensuring all work is completed safely, and to a quality standard. As a minimum you must:

  • Have a Class 2 HGV License.
  • Have Driver CPC qualifications.
  • Have a HIAB License.
  • Have NRSWA Streetworks Card.
  • SHEA Water card.
  • Have proven experience supporting a utility contract as a grab team, preferably on water.
  • Be able to carry out maintenance checks on vehicles such as checking tyre tread, oil levels and ensuring your vehicle is always clean and tidy.
  • Be confident using a smartphone and all its functions.
  • Have experience in a similar role.
  • Be reliable and have a great work ethic.
  • Have a keen eye for detail.
  • Have strong communication skills.

Working hours will be typically 0700-1700, however due the nature of the work you may be expected to work over some shifts. Rate of pay is £340 per gang, and you are provided with all your Uniform and PPE.
