Job Title: Data Analyst

Accountable to: Associate Data Director

Salary: £26,500 to £28,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Location: Office Based - Grey Street, Newcastle City Centre (Office Based)

This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship for the full duration of employment.

About the Role

The Data Analyst will support the preparation, cleaning, and analysis of large quantitative datasets, helping to ensure data accuracy and contributing to clear, actionable insights for client reporting. The role also includes assisting with survey scripting, running and troubleshooting scripts (e.g. Python, SQL) with guidance where needed, and supporting the translation of complex data into meaningful outputs.

Operating as part of the Data Team with will work closely colleagues and Project Managers to support the delivery of research projects. This includes assisting with methodology design and proposals, supporting the analysis of fieldwork data, and contributing to the creation of reports and presentations. You will play a key role in maintaining data quality and supporting project delivery timelines.

What we are looking for?

You will hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, and ideally have some experience in a data-focused role (employment, placement, internship), although that is not essential.

You will have experience working with quantitative datasets, including importing, cleaning, and analysing data, and an interest in developing your ability to deliver insight-led outputs and reporting.

You will have a working knowledge of Python and/or SQL, with some experience running and troubleshooting scripts, and a willingness to develop these skills further. Strong Excel skills and a high level of attention to detail are essential.
