FTE Salary: up to £31,815.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary: £25,452.00
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Working Hours: 29.6 hours per week

We have an exciting role of Brand Designer within our Communications, Brand and Public Affairs team!

We’re looking for a talented Brand Designer to help shape how SGS shows up across every audience touchpoint. Working across campaigns, digital, social, print, publications, signage, events and physical environments, you’ll turn ideas into distinctive, beautifully crafted creative that feels considered, connected and recognisably SGS.

This is a role for someone who brings ideas as well as execution. You’ll work closely with the Head of Brand & Campaigns and colleagues across brand, content, communications and digital, taking work from initial concept through to final delivery, questioning briefs where needed and helping strengthen the creative thinking behind them. From major recruitment campaigns to open events and everyday brand touchpoints, you’ll play a key role in making sure the SGS brand is consistently strong, relevant and well made.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Create distinctive, high-quality brand and campaign design from initial concept through to finished artwork.
  • Design across digital, social, web, print, publications, signage, events and physical environments, ensuring a consistent and recognisable SGS brand.
  • Develop and adapt campaign ideas across different audiences, formats and touchpoints without losing the strength of the original creative.
  • Support key College experiences, including open events, recruitment activity and stakeholder events, helping bring the brand to life in physical spaces.
  • Work collaboratively with campaign, content, communications and digital colleagues, contributing ideas, questioning briefs and helping strengthen creative solutions

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • A strong professional portfolio demonstrating excellent creative thinking, typography, layout, visual identity and attention to detail.
  • Professional experience creating brand and graphic design across a range of digital and physical formats.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience taking creative work from initial brief and concept through to accurate, production-ready artwork.
  • A relevant design qualification or equivalent professional experience, with experience of Figma and/or motion design particularly beneficial.
