Graysons Contract Caterers is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused General Catering Assistant to join our team at Safran Nacelles in Burnley.

We're a busy staff restaurant serving approximately 450–500 customers daily, so we're looking for someone who can keep up with the pace, deliver great customer service and bring a positive attitude to work.

This is a varied, hands-on role where teamwork, initiative and attention to detail are essential.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are quite the same! Your responsibilities will include:

· Customer Service: Providing friendly, welcoming and efficient service to customers.

· Till Operations: Operating the till, processing payments and handling cash accurately.

· Food Service: Serving hot and cold food from the servery counter, ensuring excellent presentation and portion control.

· Food Preparation: Assisting with basic food preparation as required.

· Food Safety: Carrying out and recording food temperature checks in accordance with company procedures.

· Cleaning & Hygiene: Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness across the servery, kitchen and customer areas.

· Stock Replenishment: Keeping counters, displays and service areas clean, tidy and well stocked.

· Team Support: Assisting colleagues wherever needed to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves!

The ideal candidate will have:

· Previous experience in catering, hospitality, retail or customer service (desirable).

· A friendly, approachable and professional manner.

· Confidence in dealing with customers and handling cash.

· The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Good communication and organisational skills.

· A proactive attitude and willingness to use their initiative.

· Excellent timekeeping, reliability and attention to detail.

· A strong team ethic and willingness to help wherever needed.

Previous catering experience is an advantage, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important!

Training & Development

Full relevant in-house training will be provided, including:

· Food Safety & Hygiene

· Food Allergen Awareness

· COSHH

· Manual Handling

· Health & Safety

· Company Operational Procedures
