Full job description

We are looking for an Event Supervisor to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality events across Bristol Beacon, one of Bristol’s leading live entertainment venues.

This role involves supervising event teams during live performances, conferences, private hires and large-scale venue activity. You will help ensure events run smoothly, guests receive a professional and welcoming experience, and operational standards are maintained throughout.

You will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting team members, managing event flow, and working closely with the wider management team to deliver safe, efficient and memorable events.

Key Responsibilities Event Operations

Lead and support the delivery of events across the venue

Ensure event spaces are set up, presented and ready for service

Support opening, event delivery and closing procedures

Liaise with managers, clients, internal teams and venue departments where required

Monitor event flow and respond quickly to operational needs during live events

Team Leadership

Supervise and support event staff during shifts

Allocate team positions and brief staff before events

Support new team members with training and venue procedures

Maintain clear communication throughout the event

Help create a positive, professional and supportive team environment

Guest Experience

Deliver a friendly, confident and professional guest experience

Support guests with queries, directions and event information

Resolve minor issues effectively and escalate where needed

Ensure the venue feels welcoming, safe and well managed at all times

Compliance & Standards

Follow health & safety, fire safety and venue procedures

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation

Ensure all company and venue policies are followed during events

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in events, hospitality, visitor experience or venue operations

Experience supervising teams in a busy live environment

Strong communication and leadership skills

Calm, confident and organised under pressure

A guest-focused approach with strong attention to detail

Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
