Palm2Palm Care is a compassionate and growing care provider delivering high-quality domiciliary care services to individuals within their own homes in the Enfield/ Edmonton/ Palmers Green and surrounding areas.

We are currently looking for Turkish or Greek speaking Domiciliary Care Workers to join our team and support clients in the community. This role is ideal for caring individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives by providing personalised support that promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Duties

• Provide personalised assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients with mobility and transfer needs
• Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records
• Providing personal care and support in clients’ homes
• Supporting with meal preparation and light household tasks
• Providing medication prompts when required
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Supporting clients to maintain independence in their daily routines
• Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Manage behaviour effectively, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer's disease
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when needed

Skills

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is advantageous
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care best practices
• Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanour
• Ability to handle medication administration accurately and responsibly
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and their families effectively
• Capable of heavy lifting and physical tasks required for client mobility support
• Basic first aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided
• Valid driving licence for transportation duties is desirable
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet client requirements

Requirements

• Must be able to speak Turkish or Greek
• Previous care experience preferred but not essential (training can be provided)
• Drivers preferred (with access to a vehicle)
• Compassionate, reliable, and patient nature
• Good communication skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 45.0 per week
