Full job description

The Street Bakeshop is hiring a Artisan Baker based in Green Park, Reading.

3–5 days a week — full-time or part-time, built around you.

Shift Pattern 4am till 1pm.

You'll mix, shape, prove and bake sourdoughs, artisan breads and speciality products to a standard that never drops — working closely with the Senior Baker and wider team to keep every loaf consistent, efficient and on-brand across retail and wholesale.

We make sourdough, pastries, cakes and doughnuts people actually come back for — award-winning, from scratch, real ingredients, no chemical rubbish. We're not here to be average. We're here to be the best in England.

What You'll Do

  • Mix, shape, prove and bake sourdoughs, artisan breads and speciality products
  • Monitor fermentation, dough development and bake consistency
  • Keep your section stocked, organised and audit-ready
  • Follow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures without exception
  • Manage stock rotation and minimise waste
  • Support the wider bakery and pastry teams to keep production running smoothly
