About Myshon

We’re a forward-thinking housing provider supporting vulnerable adults, including those with mental health challenges, learning difficulties, addiction issues, and physical disabilities. Our mission is to promote independent living within domestic, community-based settings tailored to individual needs.

We work in partnership with Care Providers and external agencies to help our tenants maintain tenancies, manage daily activities, and improve wellbeing, ensuring every individual is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

What You’ll Do

As a Tenancy Sustainment Coach, you’ll play a key role in helping individuals and families maintain their housing and avoid the risk of eviction or homelessness. This role is primarily based around Grimsby/Cleethorpes, but you’ll also may need to travel to properties outside these areas.

You’ll:

  • Manage a caseload of around 60 tenants, delivering tailored tenancy sustainment support
  • Provide strengths-based coaching through regular property visits (at least monthly)
  • Support tenants to understand their rights, tenancy obligations, and financial responsibilities
  • Advocate on behalf of clients facing rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or benefit disputes
  • Liaise with landlords, housing providers, DWP, and other agencies to resolve tenancy issues
  • Enable access to employment, training, and specialist services such as mental health or substance misuse support
  • Complete property inspections, safeguarding referrals, and multi-agency panels as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of coaching, outcomes, and risk assessments
  • Ensure tenants keep up with commitments through their Universal Credit journal
  • Contribute to service monitoring, evaluations, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone proactive, compassionate, and committed to helping people achieve housing stability and independence.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs in housing, welfare, or social support
  • Knowledge of the UK welfare system, especially Universal Credit and housing-related benefits
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Competence with IT systems and case management tools
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and confidentiality standards
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS check

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Housing, or equivalent
  • Training in motivational interviewing, coaching, or trauma-informed practice
  • Experience working with statutory services (DWP, local authority housing, Probation, etc.)
  • Knowledge of tenancy law and UK housing legislation
