Hotel Maintenance/ Job Description

As Hotel Maintenance you will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in all guest and back of house areas. This includes the public entry area. The maintenance engineer will be expected to perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen and laundry equipment. You will be expected to be contacted in emergencies and attend call outs.

Hotel Maintenance Areas of Responsibility

· Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property and grounds.

· Must respond quickly and efficiently to engineering and maintenance concerns.

· Maintain the guest rooms, public guest areas and back of house area in good repair by performing various tasks, i.e, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air condition, paining, and wall covering to ensure an attractive and well maintained hotel.

· Must be able to reprogram key holders and safes in guest bedrooms.

· Diagnosing problems and breakdown issues

· Knowing the fire safety/evacuation flawlessly.

· Controlling maintenance tools, stores & equipment.

· Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly.

· Designing/implementing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.

· 24/7 Call outs in the event of an emergency.

· Carry out work given on snag sheets from duty/general manager.

· Be aware of our contractors to contact in an emergency/issue

· Alerting the correct departments/duty manager of any issues.
