Scape Hammersmith

​Hours: 40 hours per week, shift patterns between 7am-8pm, Monday-Sunday.

Onboarding: The successful candidate will be asked to complete a DBS check and provide references to cover the last 3 years.

​Maintenance Operative Hours: ​40 hours per week to cover 7am-8pm, Monday-Friday. You will also be part of an on-call rota which will include evenings and weekends.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance work (carpentry, tiling, basic plumbing, basic electrical, guttering, decorating, plastering, kitchen and bathroom maintenance and more)
  • Carry out fault finding and leak investigations
  • Carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations
  • Comply with Health & Safety processes and responsibilities
  • Complete reports and paperwork as required
  • Oversee and work alongside the maintenance team of your site and the work carried out
  • Stock-taking (where appropriate) and keep records of stock levels
  • Ensure that plant rooms and other maintenance areas are kept tidy, and equipment is checked on a regular basis. Faulty or broken equipment is to be reported and resolved through liaison with your Maintenance Manager
  • Control and direct specialist sub-contractors at all times when they visit site
  • Replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures
  • Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Participate in regular, structured on-call system within the UK
  • To be responsible for all keys and locks within the site
  • Undertake painting duties where applicable
  • Adhere to procedures to ensure that all maintenance issues are completed in a timely and correct manner, efficiently, economically and for the benefit of the site and the company
  • To be aware of and adhere to all company Policies and Procedures
  • Reporting all incidents/accidents to the Maintenance Manager, filling in the accident book when required and log all incidents/accidents in the Health & Safety computerised system
  • To observe good personal hygiene and appearance including uniform
  • Participate in any training sessions as required
