Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an Experienced Roofer to begin work for a well-established social housing maintenance company covering South Manchester and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

  • Working Hours – Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm (Sporadic on call rota)
  • Pay Rate – £24.00 per hour
  • Duration – Up to 8 years contract for the right candidate
  • Location – South Manchester - Altrincham, Wythenshawe, Cheadle, Wilmslow and surrounding areas
  • Start Date – Early December 2026

Brief Role Description –

We are looking for an experienced Roofer to carry out reactive maintenance and repair works across occupied and void social housing properties.

Duties will include:

  • Repairing pitched and flat roofs on social housing properties.
  • Replacing damaged or missing roof tiles, slates and ridge tiles.
  • Repairing roof leaks and investigating water ingress.
  • Installing and repairing lead flashing, felt and roof coverings.
  • Repairing and replacing guttering, fascias and soffits.
  • Carrying out minor chimney, verge and roofline repairs.
  • Completing reactive maintenance jobs across multiple properties.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Following all health & safety procedures.

Vehicle Arrangements:

  • Company van and fuel card can be provided.
  • Alternatively, operatives can use their own van with fuel costs reimbursed.

About You:

  • Qualified / time-served Roofer.
  • Valid CSCS card required.
  • Valid DBS ideally (can be obtained before start).
  • Previous social housing / reactive maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experienced working in occupied and void properties.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Own tools required.
  • Good attention to detail and quality of finish.
  • Able to work independently across multiple properties.
  • Punctual and reliable.
