Roofer – JMKB Ltd

Overview
JMKB Ltd is currently seeking a dependable and experienced Roofer to join our expanding team. We’re looking for a dedicated professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and has a strong background in roofing installation and repair. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in working on pitched and flat roofs using a variety of materials such as slate, tile, and felt. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, physical fitness and a commitment to safety on every job.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain various types of roofing systems (pitched, flat, tiled, slate, felt, etc.)
• Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific job requirements
• Lay underlay and battens, fit tiles, slates, or other covering materials
• Identify and fix leaks and damaged roofing components
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Work at heights using appropriate safety equipment and techniques
• Collaborate with other trades on-site to ensure timely project completion
• Inspect completed work to ensure durability, weatherproofing, and compliance with building regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the proper use and storage of tools and equipment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a roofer in both new construction and repair projects
• Strong knowledge of roofing techniques, materials, and safety standards
• Competency in using tools such as roofing knives, nail guns, ladders and scaffolding
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Experience with leadwork, guttering and cladding
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Experience with soffits, facias and guttering
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials

Pay: £170.00-£200.00 per day
