Roofing Apprentice

Atlantic Renewables is looking for a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic Roofing Apprentice to join our growing team.

We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship across roofing and Solar PV installations, and we're looking for someone who is keen to learn, develop their skills and build a long-term career within the roofing and renewable energy industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn a skilled trade while gaining hands-on experience on real roofing and Solar PV projects.

Please note this is a permanent role and you will be directly employed by Atlantic Renewables.

Sub-contractors need not apply, and applications from sub-contractors will not be considered.

About the Role

As a Roofing Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced roofing and Solar PV teams, learning all aspects of roofing while developing practical skills on site.

Your training and day-to-day duties will include learning and assisting with:

  • Slating and tiling
  • Roof repairs and roof replacements
  • Flat roofing, including Rubber Felt and GRP
  • Lead work
  • Roofline installations, including fascias, soffits and guttering
  • Leak detection and repairs
  • Solar PV panel installations and associated works
  • Installation of roof mounting equipment
  • Cutting and grinding roof tiles
  • Fixing and securing electric cables to walls, baskets and trays
  • Safe use and care of tools and equipment
  • Preparing and maintaining clean and safe working areas
  • Loading, unloading and handling materials
  • Working safely at height and following all relevant health & safety procedures

You will work closely with experienced members of our team and receive practical, on-the-job training as you develop your knowledge and skills.

Providing a varied working environment and the opportunity to gain experience across both traditional roofing and the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
