Full job description
We are looking for an experienced Handyperson to work with a range of Mitie clients in the Salford Area working mainly in Soapworks to carry out building maintenance activities, with repairs undertaken where necessary, to achieve the highest level of service to the client in the most cost-effective, technically competent, and safe manner.
You should be capable of working to high levels of health and safety and statutory requirements, and ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.
You will carry out reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) work, including but not restricted to; carpentry, tiling, roofing, basic plumbing, basic electrical, guttering, decorating, plastering, fault finding, and leak investigations and carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations.
You will also Produce concise and accurate data records through your assigned Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) along with reporting and feedback on vulnerabilities within the community, the use of labour and materials, and if tasks are deliverable in the time allocation.
The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities or mobile maintenance, the construction sector, or similar, and be qualified to either Level 2/3 City in a relevant field. We offer a wide range of benefits, training, and further career opportunities.
