Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Multi Trade Maintenance Person to join our team at Kids Inc Nurseries. The candidate must have at least 10 years or more experience in a similar role and be competent with all building trades and commercial building in terms of electrical and mechanical works. In short, need to be able to cope with anything and everything that arises from the day-to-day operations of our nurseries. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and conducive to a positive learning environment for children. You will play a key part in supporting our mission by maintaining the nursery's fabric and installations to the highest level.

The role will be mobile; therefore, you should be based in a location easily accessible to our sites in Guildford, Knaphill, Basingstoke, East Sheen, Crowthorne, Aylesbury and Welwyn Garden City.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

• Mechanically qualified - Level 2 or 3
• Electrical qualification Diploma Level 3
• City & Guilds - 18th Edition
• City & Guilds Level 3 Carpentry Diploma
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled -10 Years of similar experience
• Good communication skills
• Client Facing
• Provide own tools and maintenance equipment

• A gross salary of between £45,000 - £50,000

Hours of work

• Normally your working Hours will be Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 17:00 pm. However, there will be some weekend / out of hours working

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of Reactive Building Maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Lighting, to deal with all Fault-finding, Replacing Light Fittings, Replacing Batteries to Emergency Lighting, Maintaining Lighting Timers and Photocells
• Install and Upgrade Telephone Lines and WIFI Extenders
• Plumbing, to deal with all aspects of general plumbing, (Including Repair or Replace: Taps/ Pumps / TMV’s/ TRV’s / Immersion Heaters / Timeclocks / Room stat / basic repairs to Hot and Cold-water Systems and Heating Systems. Clearing and Maintaining Drains)
• Air Conditioning – to carry out regular clean and sanitisation of internal fan units, basic fault finding and programming room units.
• Carry out repairs to Door Access Control Systems / Intruder Alarms / Fire Alarms
• Maintain Catering Extraction Systems
• Carpentry, to repair or replace a door frame and hang a door to joinery grade. Fit New or Replacement Locks and Latches and general Ironmongery. Be able to fit and adjust a Fire Door Closer. Install and or Repair Fencing
• Roof and Guttering Repairs
• Maintaining ALL Maintenance Logs
