Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30 with a 30 mins unpaid lunch break and Friday 07:00 to 13:00.

The Position

As Site Maintenance Worker you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the whole site. The role is based at our Preston site to ensure the day-to-day maintenance of a busy manufacturing unit.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the key responsibilities associated with this role are:

· Repair work to brick walls around the factory, e.g. pointing, brick replacement, re-bedding work etc.

· Groundworks around the factory

· Minor roofing & guttering repair work

· Repairs to and replacement of flooring, e.g. timber, asphalt, tarmac, concrete, etc.

· Building of internal structures e.g. timber stud walls etc.

· Other general building maintenance tasks e.g. rendering, painting, plumbing, etc.

· Procuring materials as required to fulfil duties, as well as liaising with suppliers/local wholesalers

· Liaising with third party contractors for work beyond our scope

The Site Maintenance Worker will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

· Strong experience in most or all required areas

· Good housekeeping skills

· Full Driving Licence held

· Common sense approach to problem solving

· Professional and approachable personality

· Proficient in Microsoft products and other aspects of IT usage

Additional, externally provided training will be proactively offered in areas where necessary, in support of long-term development in the role. Training may be off-site.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

• Preston (Lancashire, North West Region): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Site Maintenance: 2 years (required)
