Roofer (Social Housing)

Leicester

£35,000 Van + Fuel card

Are you an experienced Roofer? Do you have experience working in Social Housing along with the drive to further your career in a rewarding new position? If so, we may be able to help you!

Here at Howells, we are working with a leading UK Contractor to find a Roofer with sufficient knowledge of other trades to join their team in and around Leicester and Peterborough , to work on Voids and occupied properties doing repairs & maintenance.

Working the Social Housing sector, you will have the exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge by tackling a variety of repairs/maintenance in social housing properties.

Your duties will include:

  • Various roofing repairs and minor carpentry/guttering when needed.
  • Predominantly reactive maintenance
  • Repairing and renewing sections on a wide variety of different roof types, (residential and communal), i.e. slate tile repairs, flat roof / torch on repairs & general roof maintenance.
  • You will also repair and renew guttering
  • Work on scaffolds and carry out scaffold inspections.
  • You will ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and communicating additional works required back to your Supervisor/Line Managers to ensure all follow-on works have been captured
  • You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
  • You will also operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.

We are looking for candidates who are available to start as soon as possible. Vans and fuel cards provided.
