Overview:

We are currently in the market for three Roofing Labourers to join a reputable Housing Association in Kent.

Duties:

Roofing & Repairs Support

• Assist experienced roofers in carrying out reactive and planned roofing repairs on occupied and void social housing properties
• Support works on a variety of roof types including pitched, flat, tiled, slated, felt, and sheet roofing
• Help with minor roof repairs such as tile replacement, flashing repairs, guttering, and weatherproofing
• Load, unload, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for daily tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work area at all times

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Work safely at height in accordance with company procedures and current legislation
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times
• Follow site‑specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
• Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly to the supervisor
• Work in compliance with safeguarding procedures when operating in tenants’ homes

Customer & Tenant Care

• Behave professionally and respectfully when working in occupied properties
• Be courteous to tenants, explaining work where appropriate and maintaining good communication
• Protect tenants’ belongings and minimise disruption during repairs

Training & Development

• Actively participate in a recognised roofing apprenticeship programme
• Attend college or training centre sessions as required
• Complete coursework, assessments, and on‑the‑job training evidence
• Take instruction and feedback from supervisors and mentors positively
• Continuously develop skills, knowledge, and understanding of roofing systems

Pay: £32,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
