Job Summary
We are offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring plumbers starting of in a multi trading aspect to join our apprenticeship programme. This paid position is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in the construction trade, combining on-the-job training with foundational knowledge by learning from well experienced professionals. Successful apprentices will develop essential skills in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair, preparing for a rewarding career in the industry. The role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment.

Duties

  • Assist senior plumbers and multi trades with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing, maintenance systems in residential settings
  • Learn to operate welding equipment and develop proficiency in welding techniques relevant including but not limited to plumbing tasks
  • Perform basic carpentry tasks related to plumbing projects, such as framing or support structures for bath frames etc
  • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or faults
  • Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
  • Support the assembly of plumbing components and systems as directed by senior plumbers and multitudes

Requirements

  • A keen interest in pursuing a career in plumbing or related trades such as multitrade, plastering, guttering, jet washing, painting and decorating
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and aptitude for learning technical skills
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maths for measurements and calculations
  • Experience or training in welding is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is required
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Willingness to undertake on-the-job training alongside experienced professionals
  • If already enrolled in a plumbing course (NVQ etc) it is advantageous but support their for chosen course can be provided

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive pathway into the plumbing trade, combining paid employment with valuable skill development. Successful candidates will be supported throughout their training to achieve industry-recognised qualifications.

Pay: From £8.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
