Coach / Personal Trainer

The Game Changer Training – Milton Keynes

Full-Time | £26,000–£30,000 starting salary

Clear progression to £35,000+

About Us

The Game Changer Training is a premium Small Group Personal Training facility based in Milton Keynes.

We're not a commercial gym, and we don't run generic fitness classes.

Everything we do is built around coaching, community and creating life-changing results for our members.

Our mission is simple: Build Stronger Humans.

That means helping ordinary people achieve extraordinary things through exceptional coaching, genuine relationships and an environment people genuinely look forward to being part of.

We're incredibly proud of the culture we've created and we're equally protective of it.

Which is why finding the right person is more important to us than finding the perfect CV.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a full-time coach to join our growing team.

This isn't about finding the finished article.

It's about finding someone with the right attitude, personality and values who wants to become one of the very best coaches in the industry.

You might already have several years of coaching experience.

You might simply have huge potential.

Either way, if you're willing to learn, embrace feedback and genuinely care about helping people, we'd love to hear from you.

We Hire Personality First. Coach Second.

This is probably the most important part of this advert.

Technical coaching can be taught.

Programming can be taught.

Our systems can be taught.

What can't easily be taught is who you are.

We're looking for someone who naturally brings energy into every room they walk into.

Someone who smiles.

Someone who remembers names.

Someone who notices when a member has had a bad day.

Someone who celebrates the little wins just as much as the big ones.

Someone who genuinely cares.

If you're the type of person who hides behind your phone between sessions, waits to be told what to do or simply turns up to coach and go home, this probably isn't the role for you.

But if you love making people feel welcome...

Love building relationships...

Love seeing people achieve things they never thought possible...

You'll fit in really well here.

We can develop great coaches.

What we're looking for first are great people.

Your Role

As one of our coaches you'll become a huge part of our members' journey.

You'll coach small group personal training sessions, support members both inside and outside the gym, and help create an environment people genuinely love being part of.

You'll also receive ongoing mentoring and education to continually improve your coaching skills.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Delivering exceptional Small Group Personal Training sessions (maximum 6 members per coach)
  • Coaching fundamental strength movements safely and confidently
  • Building genuine relationships with every member
  • Supporting members with accountability and motivation
  • Helping maintain the incredible atmosphere and culture we're known for
  • Completing member check-ins and ongoing support
  • Continuing your education through regular CPD
  • Upholding the high standards that make The Game Changer different

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine passion for helping people
  • Positive attitude and infectious energy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Coachable and eager to learn
  • Reliable and professional
  • A team player who puts members first
  • Someone who aligns with our values and culture

Preferred

  • Level 3 Personal Training Qualification
  • Minimum 2 years coaching experience
  • Experience coaching small groups
  • Confidence coaching the fundamental lifts and movement patterns
  • A background in strength training or performance coaching

Starting Salary: £26,000–£30,000

We believe progression should be earned, not promised.

As your coaching ability, contribution to the business, member impact and responsibilities grow, your salary will grow too.

Our progression pathway allows coaches to earn £35,000+, and we'll provide the mentoring, education and support to help you get there.

If you're ambitious, committed and continually improving, we'll invest heavily in your development.

What You'll Receive

  • Structured onboarding programme
  • Weekly mentoring and CPD
  • Clear career progression pathway
  • Company pension
  • Gym membership
  • Staff events
  • Employee discount
  • Free parking
  • Sick pay
  • Be part of one of the UK's most exciting coaching environments

Application Process

To apply, please send:

  • Your CV
  • Your Instagram handle (if applicable)

If shortlisted, we'll ask you to submit a short 2–3 minute video answering the following three questions:

1. Why do you want to coach at The Game Changer?

2. What makes you great with people?

3. What experience do you have, and how would you apply it to positively impact both our coaching team and member results?

This doesn't need to be professionally filmed.

We simply want to meet the real you.

The Interview Process

Stage 1
Face-to-face interview

Stage 2
Practical coaching assessment

Stage 3
Integration session within our community

Final Thought

At The Game Changer, we believe people change because of people.

Our members won't remember every coaching cue you gave them.

They probably won't remember exactly what programme they followed.

But they'll always remember how you made them feel.

That's why we hire personality first and coach second.

Skills can be developed.

Knowledge can be taught.

Experience comes with time.

But kindness, energy, humility, work ethic and genuinely caring about people are far harder to find.

If you're someone who loves helping others, wants to learn, embraces feedback and is excited to become part of something bigger than yourself, we'd love to hear from you.
