Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving practices, as well as mechanical knowledge to ensure the vehicle is maintained in good working order. Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service when interacting with clients or customers during deliveries.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) or equivalent is essential.
  • Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle.
  • Ability to operate various types of vehicles, including those equipped for digging or heavy lifting tasks.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
