Full job description

We are a poultry farming company looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Shawbury.

The main responsibility of this role is the safe and timely delivery of pallets of eggs, while ensuring that goods are handled carefully and delivery documentation is completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pallets of eggs safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload goods where required.
  • Ensure deliveries are accurate and completed on time.
  • Complete and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues.
  • Handle goods carefully to maintain product quality.
  • Follow all company health, safety, hygiene, and transport procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics and production teams.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC.
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous HGV driving experience preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible approach to work.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

What We Offer

  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Monday to Friday working pattern.
  • 8-hour working day.
  • Standard 8:00 AM start, with earlier starts from 6:00 AM available.
