We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded HR professional to join our leadership team during an exciting period of UK expansion.

With an established flagship operation in Edinburgh and multiple site openings planned, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the people strategy, leadership capability, and employee experience behind a fast-growing hospitality group.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to someone who enjoys working at pace, partnering closely with operational leaders, and building effective people practices that support sustainable growth.

The Role

As HR Business Partner, you will lead the development and implementation of scalable people practices across the business.

You will be responsible for creating systems, structures, and leadership capabilities required to support rapid expansion while maintaining operational excellence and a strong company culture.

This is a broad and high-impact role covering operational HR, people strategy, recruitment, employee experience, leadership development, and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

People Operations & Strategy

· Develop and implement scalable HR policies, processes, and frameworks

· Support workforce planning and organisational growth across multiple sites

· Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice

· Introduce effective HR systems, reporting, and people data processes

Recruitment & Onboarding

· Build recruitment pipelines to support venue openings and business growth

· Improve hiring processes, onboarding experiences, and retention outcomes

· Support employer branding and candidate experience initiatives

Leadership & Performance

· Partner with managers and senior leaders to strengthen leadership capability

· Support performance management, employee development, and succession planning

· Provide practical and commercially balanced HR guidance across employee matters

· Contribute to the senior management team and Board re strategy and planning

Employee Experience & Culture

· Support initiatives that enhance engagement and retention

· Help maintain a positive and high-performing culture during periods of change and growth

· Contribute to learning, development, and people-focused improvement initiatives

HR Operations

· Implement and continuously improve HR systems, processes, and people reporting across the business

· Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation, policies, and HR best practice

· Manage employee relations matters with a pragmatic, commercially balanced, and people-focused approach

About You

We’re looking for someone ambitious, commercially aware, and excited by our growth!

You’ll bring:

· Proven experience within multi-site, ideally hospitality, but we’d consider retail, or fast-paced operational environment

· At least 5 years experience operating in a standalone or broad generalist HR role

· Strong understanding of operational people challenges within scaling businesses

· Confidence partnering with founders and senior stakeholders

· Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery

· Strong relationship-building, coaching, and influencing skills

· A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment

Compensation & Benefits

· £45,000 - £60,000 FTE salary (based on experience)

· Performance bonus linked to criteria which will include retention, growth and quality of service

· Hybrid working model - 2 days in the office, 1 day WFH (24 hrs per week)

· Edinburgh Street Food is open 7 days per week, from noon until 11pm. You will occasionally be expected to be present out of normal office hours

Pay: £27,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
