Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer to join our team, responsible for maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across various property types. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in construction, appliance repair, plumbing, or boiler maintenance to contribute to high-quality property maintenance and system optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop HVAC systems tailored to client specifications, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues using tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic equipment; conduct equipment repairs efficiently.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and repairs.
  • Conduct field service visits for routine inspections, emergency repairs, and system upgrades across commercial or industrial properties.
  • Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary; ensure proper operation of refrigeration and appliance repair components.
  • Utilize welding skills for equipment repair or modification when required.
  • Maintain detailed service records and report on system performance; recommend improvements for energy efficiency or system longevity.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations; operate equipment safely during maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in HVAC design, installation, service technician roles, or property maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and appliances.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
  • Experience with plumbing, welding, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity with field service operations and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC system installation.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (<PERSON> driver preferred).
  • Additional skills such as mechanic experience, boiler operation knowledge, use of ohmmeters, or experience in ammonia refrigeration are advantageous.
