Band 8a Haematology & Oncology Pharmacist
Location: Haverfordwest
Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Locum
Pay Rate: Up to £35 per hour
Working Arrangements: On-site and remote working options available

Sanctuary Personnel are recruiting for an experienced Band 8a Pharmacist with specialist expertise in Haematology and Oncology to support a clinical service in Haverfordwest on a full-time locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior clinical pharmacist seeking flexible working within a specialist cancer care environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist clinical pharmacy input to Haematology and Oncology services
  • Carry out clinical screening of chemotherapy and oncology prescriptions
  • Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based use of anti-cancer therapies
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary oncology teams to optimise patient care
  • Support medication safety, governance, and clinical protocol adherence
  • Contribute to service development within specialist pharmacy services

Requirements

  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Significant post-registration experience in Haematology and Oncology pharmacy
  • Experience in clinical screening of chemotherapy prescriptions
  • Strong understanding of cancer treatment protocols and supportive care medications
  • Ability to work independently across complex clinical caseloads
