We are looking for a full time (or part time Mon/Wed/Fri) qualified dental nurse/receptionist with scope for additional duties working at Hagley Dental Practice. At Hagley Dental Practice (DY9 0NW), we are a busy mainly-private practice with a small NHS commitment and NHS orthodontic contract, based near Stourbridge. We pride ourselves on excellent patient care and a strong emphasis on teamwork. We have just undergone an extensive modernisation which includes additional surgeries, so our team needs to grow too! (Did we mention we finish at 2pm on Fridays? :) )

WE ARE LOOKING FOR FULL TIME BUT ALSO PART TIME OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAYS.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH TREATMENT COORDINATION/INFECTION CONTROL LEAD/ADDITIONAL DUTIES!

For this vacancy registration with the GDC is required and good customer skills are a must. Experience of working in a dental reception role is needed.

Our team of dentists include those with special interests in restorative dentistry, oral surgery, implants and orthodontics, so there is lots of variety available in this role.

Role includes:

Day to day running of our Front-Of-House on reception duties

Receiving and making calls to patients and handling new patient queries.

Scheduling appointments

Dealing with payments

Liaising with clinical team members

Chairside assistance of our dentists and hygienists if required

Decontamination of instruments as per HTM 01-05 if required

Opportunities to assist with implant surgery, orthodontic clinics, oral surgery clinics

Successful candidates should:

Have excellent communication and listening skills

Demonstrate an empathic approach to patients and be able to build good patient rapport

Have excellent organisational skills

Have good IT skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook. Experience with dental practice software is advantageous (we use Software of Excellence).

The ideal person will be an experienced dental nurse with reception experience and be able to work as part of a team.
