Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a keen interest in creating delicious dishes that delight our customers. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen and ensuring that all meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality.

Pay meets national minimum wage requirements; full time and part time positions available.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
  • Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service times.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Proficiency in meal preparation techniques, including cooking methods, seasoning, and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
  • A culinary qualification or relevant training would be advantageous but is not essential.
