About the role

Do you have exceptional clinical research skills and want to play a pivotal role in delivering the UK’s largest prostate screening trial in over two decades? Join TRANSFORM as a Clinical Trial Practitioner / Clinical Research Nurse.

What you would be doing

You will be responsible for supporting participants through the TRANSFORM trial, including confirming eligibility, guidance through the consent process and providing compassionate support by phone, email and face-to-face. You will also take the lead in scheduling and running clinic appointments, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently.

Your role will involve collecting biological samples, maintaining accurate participant records, and meeting recruitment targets in collaboration with the TRANSFORM management team. You will also work closely with external site teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for participants and make timely referrals to secondary care when needed.

You will be expected to work across multiple Imperial campuses as well as more broadly across study sites in London and the UK. The role also involves travel of up to two weeks at a time. In addition there will be occasions when work outside of standard hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.

What we are looking for

  • A degree in a health or science related field, relevant vocational qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Experience working directly with patients / study participants in a clinical setting
  • Proven experience of accurate data entry and management
  • Experience of obtaining informed consent
  • Knowledge of Research Governance Framework and Good Clinical Practice
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to unexpected challenges
  • Willingness to work across sites in London and the UK
  • Willingness to travel for up to two weeks at a time and to occasionally work unsocial hours including evenings and weekends

Further information

This role is for a full-time fixed-term contract until 30/04/2028. There are 2 positions available.

Inner London Allowance - 20% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £5,414 and a maximum payment of £8,172
