Full job description

We're looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Planned Repairs Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role is ideal for someone whose primary trade is plumbing, as you'll spend most of your time carrying out bathroom refits and planned maintenance works. If you're a qualified plumber, or have strong practical experience, and take pride in delivering high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you.

Based in Torfaen, you'll mainly work on planned repairs across our homes. Experience in carpentry or other trade disciplines would be an advantage, as you'll occasionally support with reactive repairs and void property works.

About the role

Join our Codi Repairs Team and play a hands‑on role supporting homes and communities across Haverfordwest to Monmouthshire. Your office base will be Cwmbran, with most of your work covering the Monmouthshire to Newport area — keeping your days varied and on the move.

  • Prioritise your core trade- plumbing, with a particular focus on full bathroom refits, from removal to installation.
  • Build your skills in other areas as part of a supportive, multi-skilled team
  • See the real-world impact of your work in people’s homes
  • Tools, van, and uniform provided so you can focus on the job
  • Be part of a friendly, down-to-earth team that values your skills and supports your development

Skills and experience needed

  • City & Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) in Plumbing (or significant experience)
  • Practical experience in plumbing, ideally in domestic settings
  • Confidence working in people’s homes with a professional, courteous approach
  • Willingness to support other trades (e.g., basic carpentry, plastering, brickwork)
  • Flexible, positive attitude and strong commitment to health and safety
  • Full Manual UK driving licence

Bonus if you’ve worked in social housing or used mobile working systems – but not essential.

This is a full‑time, permanent role (40 hours per week) with a competitive salary of £33,487, along with a great package designed to support you at work and beyond.

What’s included:
