HANDYMAN / WOMAN/PROPERTY MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

Location: Chesterfield & surrounding areas
Pay: From £15 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Self-employed / Freelance, with potential for regular full-time work

We are a growing property maintenance company looking for a reliable, experienced Handyman / Property Maintenance Operative to join our team.

You’ll be working on a variety of properties carrying out general maintenance, repairs and improvement works for landlords, homeowners and property clients.

The work will include:

  • General property repairs and maintenance
  • Plastering and patch repairs
  • Painting and decorating
  • Basic plumbing
  • Basic carpentry and joinery
  • Doors, locks, handles and fittings
  • Flooring and other finishing work
  • Kitchen and bathroom repairs
  • Flat-pack assembly and installation
  • General building and maintenance tasks
  • Making good after other trades
  • Fault finding and practical problem solving
  • Gardening & outdoor maintenance – lawns, hedges, weeding, fencing and general garden work.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has good practical experience in property maintenance
  • Can work independently and take pride in their work
  • Is reliable, punctual and professional
  • Has good attention to detail
  • Can communicate well with customers
  • Has their own basic tools
  • Has a full UK driving licence
  • Can travel to jobs around Chesterfield and surrounding areas

A trade qualification is beneficial but proven practical experience is more important.
