We are looking for a reliable, skilled Maintenance Person with strong practical repair skills and technical knowledge to oversee the upkeep of our Norwich premises on a part-time basis. Working as part of a team of two, you will play a key role in keeping our indoor and outdoor facilities safe, clean and running smoothly.

This is a highly active, hands-on role. If you have a keen eye for detail and the physical stamina to tackle everything from plumbing fixes to basic carpentry, we want to hear from you.

Location:

• Norwich, NR1 4GA
• Occasional travel to attend health and safety meetings at our head office in East Winch (PE32 1HN)

Hours of Work:

We are looking for a maintenance person who can work a minimum of 15 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general property repairs, including but not limited to decorating, carpentry, plumbing and gardening duties
• Repair equipment and appliances where possible and report any in need of major repairs
• Monitor and support the cleaning staff, ensuring that the premises are cleaned to a high standard, including the completion of cleaning duties in their absence
• Manage the premises’ car park, ensuring that the company’s car park procedure is adhered to at all times
• Co-ordinate with the IT department so that all staff have the required equipment to complete their roles
• Organise, monitor and co-ordinate visits from external tradespeople and contractors
• Ensure that the company’s health and safety procedures are followed at all times, in accordance with our health and safety manual
• Attend regular health and safety training and meetings as required
• Monitor and restock perishable goods and other equipment, including vending machine items and cleaning products
• Ensure that the company’s systems and compliance are followed at all times, in accordance with our procedures manual

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a commercial maintenance, caretaker or handyman role
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems
• Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Good communication skills
• Good at problem solving with basic maths skills
• Physical stamina to handle lifting, gardening and active maintenance tasks
• Ability to travel to our East Winch office for meetings
