Full job description

We're looking for a reliable, practical handyman/woman who can turn their hand to just about anything. No two days will be the same: one day you might be fixing a leaking tap, the next building shelving, painting a room or sorting out a faulty door. If you're the person friends and family call when something breaks, we'd like to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • General repairs and maintenance in mainly holiday let properties. This may also include private rented properties in the future.
  • Basic plumbing
  • Basic electrical work (within your competence and qualifications)
  • Joinery
  • Gardening
  • Routine checks and preventative maintenance, so problems get fixed before they become expensive
  • Keeping sites safe, tidy and well maintained
  • Logging jobs on software, and flagging anything that needs a specialist contractor
  • There may also be extra jobs, including hot tub cleaning, linen drop/collection at holiday lets

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a handyman, maintenance or similar practical role
  • A good range of skills across plumbing, joinery, decorating and general repairs
  • A problem-solver who can work independently and prioritise a busy to-do list
  • Reliable, punctual and tidy, with a pride-in-your-work attitude
  • A good communicator who's friendly and easy to work with
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Computer literate

Desirable but not essential: City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications, a PAT testing certificate, first aid training, or experience in a commercial setting.
