Overview

About Us
My Hope Housing provides supported housing for vulnerable individuals, giving them safe and comfortable places to call home. We're looking for a general handyman to help us with the small, everyday repairs that keep our properties running smoothly.

The Role
This is a hands-on role covering general repairs and small maintenance jobs across our properties — nothing too heavy, just the kind of everyday fixes a good handyman handles day to day. We're happy to hear from people of all ages, including anyone who's retired and looking for some part-time work.

What You'll Be Doing

  • General repairs and small maintenance jobs — think fixing, patching, tightening, replacing
  • Keeping an eye on properties and letting us know if anything needs sorting
  • Responding to repair requests as they come in
  • Working respectfully and sensibly around our residents

What You'll Need

  • Handyman knowledge and hands-on repair skills — this one's essential
  • Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle — also essential
  • Friendly, reliable, and happy working independently
  • Comfortable working around vulnerable adults
  • Will need a DBS check (we'll help sort this if you don't already have one)
