Estate Maintenance Operative
Location: Walton Estate, Wellesbourne, Warwickshire
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Benefits: Statutory holiday entitlement, pension contributions, estate pickup vehicle (for estate use), trailer and tools provided, company phone and tablet.

About the Role
Walton Estate is seeking a skilled, practical, and reliable Estate Maintenance Operative to undertake a varied role across our residential, commercial, and rural property portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for general property repairs, preventative maintenance, estate infrastructure works, machinery operation, and supporting the day-to-day upkeep of a traditional rural estate. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical individual seeking a long-term role within a well-established Warwickshire estate.

As well as a full time employee, work on a self employed basis will be considered and applicants should mark their application *Self Employment preferred* so we can discuss how this may work.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in property, estate, agricultural, or facilities maintenance.
  • Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Working Style: Ability to work independently and manage a varied daily workload.
  • IT Skills: Basic IT literacy (including Microsoft Word and Excel) for reporting.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to participate in an occasional, scheduled out-of-hours on-call rota.

Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates holding relevant certifications in any of the following:

  • Trade skills experience/ qualifications
  • First Aid at Work

Out-of-Hours & Overtime Policy

  • Time Off in Lieu (TOIL): Any emergency out-of-hours call-outs completed during your scheduled on-call rotation will be compensated with Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) on an hour-for-hour basis, to be taken during quieter periods by mutual agreement.

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and proof of the right to work in the UK.
