Part Time Nanny Beamish

A family in Beamish , seek a part time permanent nanny to care for their 15 month old son and support mum with her upcoming new baby.

The family are looking for a nanny who can work alongside mum and share care of the children as well as supporting other duties in the home .

The ideal Nanny will be a warm and passionate childcarer, fully focussed on providing the best care and supervision of the children, with the ability to blend into family life to work in harmony at home and to work around parent busy professional schedules. Dad is required to work the later end of the day, and may work from home or away on occasion.

Work Days:

Ideally two full days - Tuesday and Wednesday 7.30am-7pm,

The nanny will need to be a driver preferably with their own car and a non-smoker/vaper. Key Responsibilities:

  • Organisation and general cleaning of the children's laundry, belongings and areas
  • Preparing Healthy Snacks
  • Making the most of outdoors, playing games, trips to the park
  • Meal preparation, helping with Dinner supervision, and keeping the kitchen in order,
  • Evening routines including bathing and getting ready for bed
  • Organising children's items for the next day
  • Keeping the children well entertained, safe and happy
  • Planning activities in the holidays and following daily routines for the family
  • Collaborating and communicating effectively with parents and sharing information about the children's day, development and celebrating achievements
  • Open to an odd babysitting evening/weekend by mutual agreement on occasion
  • Light housekeeping around the children's care

The family are interested to hear from an experienced Nanny or childcare professional who is looking for a long-term commitment, who has been in similar positions before. A junior nanny may be considered if they hold the desirable qualities alongside several years relevant experience in early years settings, with demonstrable levels of responsibility and maturity.

Applicants should have:

- Enhanced DBS for childcare workforce (we can support you to obtain this if not held)

- Paediatric First Aid (we can support you to obtain this if not held)

- Sole Charge Experience (or demonstrable experience in early years provision at a responsible level)

- Early Years Qualification desirable

Start: August 2026
