Full job description
Overview
We are a family run, 1400 acre arable farm based in North Essex looking for a skilled and motivated harvest worker. We currently grow winter wheat, spring barley, spring beans and OSR.
Duties
- Corn carting
- Post harvest cultivations
- Grain store management and monitoring
- General duties to support the daily running of the farm and other diversifications.
- Telehandler work, including loading lorries
- Machinery maintenance
Requirements
- Previous experience in farming or agricultural work is preferred
- Driving licence
- Telehandler ticket and experience preferred although training can be arranged (pending course availability)
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment repair is beneficial
- Physically able to meet the demands of the role
- Long hours and weekends would be needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Previous cultivation experience preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
