Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Field Care Workers to provide high-quality in-home care services to clients within their communities. This role involves supporting individuals with a variety of needs, including elderly care, dementia support, and assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing clients' independence and wellbeing through personalised care. All positions are paid, including internship opportunities, and offer flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle.
Duties
- Deliver personalised patient care in accordance with care plans, including assistance with mobility, hygiene, and daily routines
- Support clients with assisted living tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping
- Provide specialised dementia and Alzheimer’s care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Assist with behavioural management techniques to promote positive interactions and reduce agitation
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities using company vehicles, maintaining safe driving practices
- Administer first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies
- Support clients with heavy lifting or transfers as required, ensuring safety for both the client and caregiver
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
Skills
- Experience in supported living environments or home care settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and senior care
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards clients of all ages, including childcare when needed
- Ability to perform medication administration safely and effectively
- Excellent organisational skills for managing schedules and documenting care activities
- Ability to handle behaviour management strategies with patience and professionalism
- Competence in meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain training prior to employment
- Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely between locations
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility needs
