We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Farm Worker to help look after our turf crop and related equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with a variety of farm-related tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the farm environment. This position offers a varying job role operating and maintaining various equipment within a dynamic rural setting.

As with all farm jobs, there will be a percentage of machinery operating and a percentage of getting your hands dirty.

The position is paid and may be best suited to agri college leavers or experienced farm workers.

Some of the Duties:

Daily harvesting of turf, using a fully automatic turf harvester with robot stacker.
Tractor work, using modern tractors with guidance.
Mowing grass with ride on mowers or tractor mowers.
Perform routine maintenance and repair of farm equipment, ensuring they are in safe working order.
Loading customers
Use hand tools for general farm upkeep tasks.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety and efficiency on the farm.
Assist with general maintenance tasks around the farm premises to ensure a safe working environment.
Small team so reliability is essential.

Skills

Must have farm experience.
Must have a full driving licence.
Ideally should have mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment repair.
Organised approach to work with attention to detail in maintaining farm standards and safety.
Telehandler ticket would be beneficial but not essential.
PA1 & PA2 would be beneficial but not essential.
Modern tractor experience would be beneficial but not essential.
HGV class 2 would be beneficial but not essential.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about agriculture who are eager to learn new skills whilst contributing positively to our farm operations. Competitive hourly rate of pay is dependant on experience and skills.
