Full job description
This is NOT a delivery driver role. It is a night-time field rep position.
Firebrick People are recruiting for a part-time, permanent, field representative to work on behalf of Metro newspapers, visiting bus depots and train stations across Greater London and the South East.
You will be responsible for working with specific contacts at a bus depot, ensuring that copies of Metro are placed onto the buses correctly and that any unread copies are accounted for accurately. You will be liaising with the bus depot managers and training the on site staff and should be an excellent and confident communicator.
This job will suit someone who can work independently, manage their own time, does not mind working through the night/early mornings. The shift is 6 hours between the core hours of 9pm until 10am. The ideal candidate must have flexibility of start/finish times depending on location of the bus depots and what is the focus at that time.
Occasionally you will be asked to have a meeting with the rest of the Metro team in Kensington, in the morning approx. 8am until 11am – when this happens you will not work in the night before or after.
The ideal candidate will be confident, articulate and self-motivated to work alone, using initiative. You will need to liaise with Metro management and contacts at the bus depots therefore you must be confident in dealing with people.
You must be confident using a smart phone/PDA - this will be provided to record each day's activity and training will be provided.
Candidates must have a clean driving license, business insurance and their own car with MOT. Mileage is paid at £0.40 per mile.
The vacancy is available for start immediately and full training will be given.
If this is a second job, you will be asked to give proof of hours of your other job to ensure you are having adequate rest and are not breaking any working time regulations.
